PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a groove machining tool capable of arranging a spherical body circumferentially at substantially equal intervals and replacing the spherical body without causing any deformation to the area of the spherical body where the groove is machined. SOLUTION: With regard to a groove machining tool provided with a tool body 22, a retention member 24 fitted to the tool body 22, and a plural number of spherical bodies 38, one end surface 30 of the retention member 24 is provided with a plural number of storage recesses 32 at an equal interval in the circumferential direction with respective storage recesses 32 having a part of them opened to the outer circumference of the retention member 24, and respective spherical bodies 38 is stored in corresponding storage recesses 24 and fixed by the end of the tool body 22 and the storage recesses 32 on the retention member 24 with a part of them protruding radiatively outward through the opening on the retention member 24. Respective spherical bodies 38 are stored in the storage recesses 32 in a replaceable manner. |
