PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject agent capable of promoting production of collagen, further exhibiting excellent aging-preventing effect on activation of extracellular matrix and normalization of skin tissue based on promotion of collagen production by including an extract of a specific fagaceous plant as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: This collagen-producing promoter comprises an extract from tree bud of a plant belonging to the genus Fagus of the family Fagaceae, especially an extract from budlet thereof as an active ingredient. The compounding amount of the extract is 0.0001-30.0wt.%, especially 0.001-10.0wt.%. The collagen- producing promoter can further be compounded with a humectant, a beautifying and whitening agent, an antiphlogistic agent, an activator, blood circulation promoter, an antiseborrheic agent, ultraviolet ray protecting agent, vitamins, etc. |
