PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor to prevent deformation of a retainer without damaging sealing ability of a metal gasket arranged between a cover member to close the compression chamber of a cylinder block and a discharge valve forming plate. SOLUTION: A discharge valve forming plate 28 made of a metal is arranged between valve plates 23 and 24 having a discharge port 29 and cylinder blocks 2 and 3 having a compression chamber 11. Further, a metal gasket 32 at which a retainer is integrally formed is arranged between housings 16 and 18 having the discharge valve forming plate 28 and a discharge chamber 20. Cylindrical wall 36 is protruded from the housings 16 and 18 and a control part 34 to control the base end part of a retainer 33 is arranged at the tip thereof.
