<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for producing fine powder of slaked lime capable of eliminating a solvent removing apparatus, simplifying facilities, reducing production processes and lowering a manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: This method for producing fine powder of slaked lime comprises adding 0.01-5wt.% of a hydroxyl group-containing organic compound to quick lime, grinding quick lime to give fine powder of quick lime, or grinding quick lime to give fine powder of quick lime, compounding the fine powder with 0.01-5wt.% of the hydroxyl group-containing organic compound, adding slaking water comprising water or water and the hydroxyl group-containing organic compound to the fine powder of quick lime, staking the fine powder of quick lime to form slaked lime having >=25(m<2> g) specific surface area. A polyhydric alcohol such as ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, propylene glycol or triethanolamine and a sugar alcohol such as D-glucitol are used as the organic compound. Triethanolamine and D-glucitol are preferable and triethanolamine are most preferable.</p> |
