<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate an electrostatic discharge treatment under the optimum condition by releasing a gas containing no volatile organic material outside of system to desorb and concentrate the adsorbed volatile organic material and treating the organic material with decomposition and oxidization method by discharging treatment. SOLUTION: A waste gas containing methyl ethyl ketone, which is one kind of the volatile organic material, is released from a plant 1 to a blower 2 and charged into a rotary adsorption column 3 from the blower 2. A high silica zeolite is formed into a honeycomb form to be loaded as an absorbent 4 in the absorption column 3 and the volatile organic material in the waste gas is absorbed and removed by the absorbent 4. And after the gas containing no volatile organic material is released from the outlet of the adsorption column 3, the adsorbed volatile organic material is desorbed and concentrated by cooling the honeycomb of the absorbent. Further the volatile organic material is treated with the decomposition and oxidization method by the electrostatic discharge from a discharge tube 8. As a result, the lowering of the cost of electrostatic charge treatment is attained.</p> |
