Methods of insect, acarid and nematode extirpation; a method for protecting growing plants from the said pests by applying arylpyrrole compounds of the formula (I) wherein the symbols are, as defined in the Claims. The invention also is directed to an insecticidally, acaricidally or nematicidally effective agent prepared on the basis of the said compounds, to the novel arylpyrrole compounds themselves and to a method and intermediates for some of the novel arylpyrrole compounds preparation.
