PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering wheel having an air bag device which can sufficiently absorb energy of its impact force by restraining influence of a lower cover, and enlarging a deformation stroke of core metal of a rear spoke part even if the impact force acts forward on the rear side of a ring part. SOLUTION: A torsionally deformable torsional deformation part 1 is formed on the outside of an installing seat of an air bag device 50 in front spoke part core metal 5. In rear spoke part core metal 12, a first bending deformation part 16 is formed on the inside, and a second bending deformation part 17 is formed outward on the outside of a column cover, respectively, with the installing seat of the air bag device 50 as a reference. Flexural rigidity of the first bending deformation part 16 is lower than the second beinding defoamation part 17. In a synthetic resin lower cover 22 having a bottom wall part 23 and a peripheral wall part 26, the upper end vicinity of the peripheral wall part 26 is installed in an outside part 14 of the rear spoke part core metal 12 on the rear side. |
