PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of wear of a heel and a toe without substantially lowering wet traction performance. SOLUTION: In a pneumatic radial tire for a heavy load formed such that two trains of block trains 5 consisting of a plurality of clocks 4 are formed in a division state in at least the central part of a tread surface T, subgrooves 2 forms a tread pattern having a directional property wherein the grooves are formed from the tire equator side toward the two outsides and inclined to the tire opposite rotation side and the inclination angle of the subgroove 2 with the peripheral direction of a tire is gradually decreased from the tire equator side toward the outside. An inclination angleθo on the tire equator side is set to a range of 70 deg.<=θ0 <=90 deg., an inclination angleθ1 on the tire outside is set to a range of 30 deg.<=θ1 <θ0 , and an angleαof the wall surface of the stepping side of the block 4 with a tire radiation direction is increased to a value higher than the angleβof a wall surface on the kicking side. |
