PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the thrust block structure of the axially movable center bearing of a counter shaft built in the aluminum case of a manual transmission. SOLUTION: The outline periphery of an irrotational washer 6 fitted to an idle gear shaft 3 is enlarged to such an extent as reaching the outer part 7a of a center bearing 7. In addition, the outline periphery is formed to have a circular arc notch, so as to be aligned with the outer part 7a. Conventionally, the center bearing 7 is held on a dedicated plate, but according to this construction, the thrust washer 6 gives the same function, thereby reducing the number of part items, assembly manhours and machining manhours.
