PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine to make washing, rinsing, and spin drying of clothes within a drum installed rotatably around a horizontal shaft, in which generations of large vibrations and noises in the spin drying process are precluded by sensing the situation of the wash put in the drum before entering the spin drying process. SOLUTION: The wash is accommodated in a drum 1 and rotated round a horizontal shaft by the first 15 and the second motor 16 at the first and the second revolving speed, wherein the revolving speeds of the first motor 15 and second motor 16 are controlled by a control means provided in a control device 20. The control means senses the angle of electric continuity with which the drum 1 is controlled to the specified revolving speed and judges the situation of the wash in the drum 1 with the revolving speed varying width when the drive is made with this angle of electric continuity.
