<p>MOULDED POLYOLEFIN FOAM WITH OOEN CELLS N1-.. Produced by (a) subjecting a mixture of granular or powdered polyolefin, which is free of plasticiser, a water soluble saolt, and an amount of water, which is small relative to the amount of water necessary to wholly dissolve the salt, to shape-giving heating, under a sufficient pressure to prevent boiling of the formed saturated salt soln. before reacting the moulding temp, and (b) boiling out the water after the moulding temp. is reached. Ventilating insulation materials, ventilating fillings in furniture and mattresses, ventilating packages for fruit, and filters can be produced.</p> |
