PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and inexpensively obtain a medicine, a functional food and a food additive, useful for suppressing the appearance of disease of geriatric diseases, especially hyperlipemia and preventing and treating arteriosclerosis, having inhibitory action on pancreatic lipase activity. SOLUTION: This pancreatic lipase comprises caulerpenyne as an active ingredient. Since caulerpenyne has excellent inhibitory action on pancreatic lipase activity, the absorption of fats in a food from intestine is delayed and that of cholesterol is also delayed by taking a pancreatic lipase activity inhibitor comprising caulerpenyne as an active ingredient, a caulerpenyne-containing functional food or food composition, to control the appearance of disease of geriatric diseases, especially hyperlipemia and preventing and treating arteriosclerosis. |
