发明名称 METHOD FOR DESULFURIZING GASEOUS SUBSTANCE
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance treating ability by changing over a desulfurizing process in each of plural reactors connected in series and contg. oxidation catalyst layers laminated on inert material layers so that the direction of a flow of gas is reversed at intervals of a specified time and keeping the oxidation catalyst layers in a specified temp. range. SOLUTION: When a gaseous substance contg. O2 , SO2 , SO3 , etc., and/or org. sulfur-contg. components is desulfurized in reactors 3a, 3b connected in series and contg. oxidation catalyst layers 5a, 5b laminated on inert material layers 4a, 4b, combustible components are oxidized to H2 O, CO2 and SO2 , all SO2 is further oxidized to SO3 and all SO3 is hydrated with at least one equiv. H2 O based on the amt. of SO3 in the gas. The hydrated SO3 is condensed as sulfuric acid. At this time, the direction of a flow of gas in each of the reactors is reversed after about 1-40min and the layers 5a, 5b are kept in the temp. range of 300-500 deg.C. A flow of gas after the reactions is kept at a temp. below the dew point of the gas giving H2 SO4 by at least 50 deg.C.
