PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic having low skin irritation and good feeling to users, improved in transdermal absorption of humectant and excellent in skin roughening-preventing effect by using a combination of a humectant with an oil solution having a specific solubility parameter. SOLUTION: This cosmetic is obtained by combinedly using (A) a humectant with (B) an oil solution having >=15.7 and <=21.0 solubility parameterδ. The component A includes a saccharide, a polyol, an amide compound or a ceramide, especially preferably the amide compound selected from amide derivatives of formula I (R<1> and R<2> are each a hydrocarbon; R<3> is an alkylene or single bond; R<4> is H, an alkoxyl, etc.), formula II (R<3a> is an alkylene; R<4a> is an alkoxy) and formula III (R<4b> is H, an alkoxy, etc.). A mixture containing an oil solution (B-1) having >=15.7 and <=17.2δand an oil solution (B-2) having >=17.5 and <=21.0δat a (10/1) to (1/2) weight ratio of (B-1)/(B-2) is preferably used as the component B.
