PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute an excellent laser beam machining without generating any defective machining even though a coagulation generates at the time of piercing. SOLUTION: When a machining head 4 comes into contact with an obstacle, that is detected with an electrostatic capacity sensor 8 and transmitted to a controller. Whereupon, the height of the machining head 4 is held in a constant for a prescribed time with the controller. When a small arch-like coagulation 3B exists around the place 3A where piercing is executed in the case of executing piercing to the object 3 to be machined, the coagulation 3B and the machining head 4 come into contact during cutting. And that is detected with the electrostatic capacitor sensor 8 and transmitted to the controller. Whereupon, since the height of the machining head 4 is held in a constant with the controller, the coagulation 3B is broken. |
