PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to securely bond a golf club head and a shaft of a gold club shaft and shaft mounting structure even if the hosel of the head is short and to increase the degree of freedom in the design of the weight distribution and centroid position over the entire part of the head. SOLUTION: A sectionally noncircular part 9 is formed at the tip part 8 of the shaft 2. The shaft insertion hole 7 having the sectionally noncircular inner peripheral surface part 11 to be fitted with the sectionally noncircular part 9 is formed at the hosel 3 of the head 1. The tip part 9 of the golf club shaft 2 is inserted into the shaft insertion bole 7 of the hosel 3 and is bonded thereto. The external shape at the cross section of the sectionally noncircular part 9 of the tip part 8 is formed to an approximately elliptic shape. The sectional shape of the sectionally noncircular inner peripheral surface part 11 of the shaft inserting hole 7 of the hosel 3 is formed to an approximately elliptic shape. The major axis of the approximately elliptic shape of the sectionally noncircular inner peripheral surface part 11 is made approximately parallel with the leading edge 6 of the head 1 in plan view.
|
