PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a sliding bearing material having an extremely low friction coefficient and wear rate, in which polytertrafluoroethylene(PTFE) is uniformly filled over the total layer thickness, having self-lubricity, free from the need of maintenance and particularly suitable for use in the food industry. SOLUTION: The surface of a supporting metallic body 1 is applied with a layer of bronze power with different grain size having about 40μm average grain size and having a crystal shape of a dendrite structure, it is sintered at about 800 deg.C in a protective atmosphere, the supporting metallic body 1 is not-rolled in the process of the sintering, 40 to 70% of porosity is formed over the total layer thickness of the bronze layer 2, PTFE is infiltrated into the pores till its content reaches 20wt.%, and next, the bronze layer 2 is compacted. |
