FLAME-RETARDANT POLYSTYRENE RESIN COMPOSITION AND HOUSING FOR ELECTRIC AND ELECTRONIC APPLIANCE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant resin composition that can inhibit photo- deterioration and is excellent in moldakility and flame retardancy through a simple flame retardation processing, only kneading a styrene resin with a flame retardant and its auxiliary agent, and provide the use suitable to the molded products using the same. SOLUTION: This flame-retardant polystyrene resin composition comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of styrene resin, (B) 10-20 pts.wt. of a flame retardant of a combination of a polyhalognenated diphenyl alkane with ethylene bis(tetrabromophthalimide) and (C) 1-8 pts.wt. of a flame retardant auxiliary agent. This composition is used as molding material to produce housings for electric or electronic appliances.
