Member for controlling and governing movable articles rolling on a closed-circuit track on which miniature vehicles move at controlled speed during a competition. In accordance with the invention, the moving articles 1 are self-powered via continuous-current (DC) take-off 2 provided on the actual track 3 which describes a twisting path with straight sections 4, right hand bends 5 and left hand bends 6, the tracks being interrupted by cuts 7 which define sections 4, 5, 6, some sections being isolated from others and said sections being equipped with separate current take-offs 8, 9, 10 which are governed by controlled members 11 capable of independently activating the various sections of track 4, 5, 6 as the rolling moving articles pass by, the latter being displaced by being propelled by their microelectric motors or by the inertia which develops as a function of the fact that the track section via which the article is travelling is or is not supplied with electric current. <IMAGE>
