A process for the crystallization of aromatic polyester resins having an intrinsic speed between 0.5 and 0.7 dl/g wherein the resin is extracted in the form of a tape in the exit of the extruder or the pieces obtained cutting the tape are crystallized maintaining them at a temperature between 160°C and 200°C during sufficient time for obtaining a crystallized product wherein the DSC curves it not show presence practically none pre-fusion peak.
