PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a distribution route by a long-distance call charge and to substantially reduce a transmission charge required for karaoke (music without lyrics) distribution from a karaoke center by relaying a prescribed karaoke playing terminal and transferring karaoke data to other karaoke playing terminals. SOLUTION: In the case of distributing karaoke data from a host center 2 to these karaoke playing terminals 30a-30c, a local communication channel is used from the karaoke center 10 to the playing terminal 30c of the same local call area 60a. However, for the playing terminals 30a and 30b in a long/distance call area, the playing terminal 30a is specified as a repeater station, and the karaoke data are distributed. The playing terminal 30a stores the data in the storage part of a hard disk and then distributes the data to the playing terminal 30b inside the same local call area 60b. The playing terminal 30a successively calls the terminals in the same local call area 60b by a transfer destination telephone number list which has been stored in the hard disk beforehand, and at the time of being connected, sends out the karaoke data stored in the hard disk to a telephone line 50a. |
