PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter capable of impressing a given voltage of almost continuous waveform to a load without using an element of high withstand voltage or making the efficiency in converting power reduced. SOLUTION: A first power supply part 2a, which outputs the pulsating voltage of staircase form, and a second power supply part 2b, which reverses polarity every cycle of the output voltage waveform of the first power supply part 2a, are provided. The output of the second power supply part 2b is impressed to a load 3 via a leakage transformer T1 with a capacitor C4 connected parallel to its primary winding. The leakage constituent of the leakage transformer T1 and the capacitor C4 constitute a filter, and only the fundamental wave constituent of the second power supply part 2b is transformed by the leakage transformer T1 and impressed to the load 3. |
