PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical recording and reproducing device capable of efficiently performing verification together with recording and performing the recording in a short time. SOLUTION: An optical pickup constituting the optical information recording and reproducing device is equipped with a blazed hologram. Light flux emitted from a laser diode is separated into 0-th order light, -1st order light and -2nd order light by this blazed hologram. The -1st order light and the -2nd order light irradiate a disk 4 in the rear of the 0-th order light in the scanning direction. Moreover, the -2nd order light irradiates the disk 4 in a track as one track behind the 0-th order light to form a light spot 25. This -2nd order light is used for the verification. |
