PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical head device capable of performing position adjusting work of a focus PD(photodetector) in a short time and hardly generating its dislocation. SOLUTION: This device 22 is constituted so that a laser beam is sent from a fixed optical part 26 to a movable optical part 24. The focus PD 56 for detecting a focus error in a double knife-edge method is disposed in the fixed optical part 26. The focus PD 56 is fitted via an L-shaped holder 92 to a supporting surface 94a at the upper end of a side wall 94 of the fixed optical part 26. The supporting surface 94a is arranged parallel to an optical path of a reflected laser beam in the fixed optical part 26. Position adjustment of the focus PD 56 is performed by sliding the holder 92 on the supporting surface 94a in the biaxial directions only. |
