PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corona discharge device by which a discharge wire or a grid electrode is uniformly oxidized or a suspended matter such as paper powder is uniformly stuck to the discharge wire or the grid electrode and a substance to be electrified is always uniformly electrified or discharged by uniformizing an air current blown into a shielding case in the longitudinal direction of the shielding case. SOLUTION: This device is constituted of the discharge wire 2 performing corona discharge to the substance to be electrified, the shielding case 3 which is formed in a channel state and covers over the wire 2 and where an air blowoff port 9 is opened along the wire 2, air ducts 5 and 6 connecting the port 9 and the outside of a device housing so as to communicate with each other, and a ventilation fan making air on the outside of the device housing blow into the case 3 through the air ducts 5 and 6 and the port 9. Furthermore, a partition wall 10 is erected in the longitudinal direction of the case 3 in the air duct 6 so as to temporarily increase the pressure of the air current sent toward the case 3 before the front side of the wall 10. |
