[Also in Division A4] A clip bracket 2 for supporting pipes 1 adjacent a skirting board comprises a one piece block of resilient plastics, e.g. polypropylene, and is symmetrical about a horizontal centre plane, the block including a rectangular central portion 5 with a bore (6) to receive a fixing screw 7, a pair of internally threaded, tubular sleeves extending in opposite directions from the central portion 5, and a pair of resiliently deformable pipe clamps 10 respectively disposed one above and one below the central portion 5, the bracket 2 being adapted to support a cover strip 3. As shown, spaced brackets 2 are first screwed to the skirting board, the pipes 1 are pushed into the clamps 10, and the cover strip 3 is fitted over the brackets 2 with a flange 15 engaged in a recess 16 behind the brackets and with a bent lower edge 17 resting on the floor. A joint plate 4 may be fitted over adjacent ends of two strips 3 by fitting a bracket 2 over already installed pipes (Fig. 3) with the clamps 10 opening towards the skirting board and then securing the plate 4 by a screw 9 threaded into the outwardly opening sleeve 8. |
