PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and stably obtain a desired driving style without placing any burden on an operator of a system when an image formed by an image formation system which forms the image is positively driven. SOLUTION: A variable optical-axis optical system 201 is an optical system which is provided in front of the image pickup surface of a video camera 100 and can control the angle of an optical axis of transmission. An angle sensor 204(X) detects the current value of the angle of rotation of a planoconvex lens 204(X) of the variable optical-axis angle optical system 201 and generates an angle signal S2(X) indicating the detected current value. An image drive signal generation part 207(X) generates an image drive signal S4(X) for positively driving a photographed image in a horizontal direction X. A control part 209(X), a motor drive part 210(X), and a driving motor 202(X) drives the photographed image in the horizontal direction X by driving and rotating the planoconvex lens 201(X) in the horizontal direction X according to an angle signal S2(X) and an image drive signal S4(X). |
