PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water supply apparatus with a bacterial removing function and a water heater which enables safe and sound supply of hot water by removing miscellaneous germs. SOLUTION: A supply section 8 which comprises a storage tank 10 having a diluted solution 9 stored therein, an injection path 11 for communication between the storage tank 10 and the hot water supply path 5 and an injection pump 12 which is provided in the course of the injection path 11 to force the diluted solution 9 to the hot water supply path 5 is provided in the hot water supply path 5 to a hot water supply cock 6 from a heat exchange section 1. This enables accurately removing of miscellaneous germs during the supply of hot water thereby accomplishing safe and sound supply of hot water.
