The junction-type diverter periodically deflects the supporting hooks of coat hangers etc. from an auger-type thrust shaft to a branch bar etc. A ramp tongue runs first in the travel direction and is then bent outwards. This pivots on an axis to the side of, and parallel to, the thrust shaft, and can lift clear of the latter. The tongue (12) is mounted on an upper portion fitting over the shaft (2) while a further portion (5) fits under the shaft. A tongue-shaped ramp head is formed by the inlet end (14) to the tongue and the front part of the lower portion (5), closed in the direction of the hanger hook during the diversion operation. |
