PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance image forming accuracy by preventing a second toner image from being longer than a first toner image, at the time of forming the second toner image on the second surface of a transfer material, after the first toner image is formed on the first surface. SOLUTION: The first toner image T1 on a photoreceptor drum 1 is transferred to the first surface S1 of the transfer material S (a). After that, the transfer material S is turned inside out and the second toner image T2 on the drum 1 is transferred to the second surface S2 . At this time, power is supplied to a solenoid 6, to shorten a plunger 6a and an arm 7 is turned in the direction of an arrow, to raise a pressurizing spring receiver 3, so that the pressurizing spring 3 is shortened to make the pressing force of a transfer roller 2 against the drum 1 greater. Therefore, the diameter of the transfer roller 2 is made smaller. Thus, a transfer material carrying speed v2 at the time of performing the transfer to the second surface, which tends to be faster by the toner image T1 which has already been transferred/fixed is made the same as a transfer material carrying speed v1 at the time of performing the transfer to the first surface, to prevent the second toner image T2 at the time of performing the transfer to the second surface from being elongated in the carrying direction of the transfer material. |
