PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grade up software on a network by providing an electronic unit, a regular TV set, a handle-held remote controller for a client system. SOLUTION: A Web TV client system 1 uses the TV set 12 as a display device and an audio output device. A box (electronic unit) 10 is connected to the TV set 12 by a link 6. AC is supplied to the box 10 by an AC power line 7. The communication link which connects the box 10 and a server is telephone connection 29a or ISDN connection 29b. AC is supplied to the box 10 by the AC power line 7. A user operates a remote controller 11, controls the client system 1, browses a web, transmits an E mail and executes other functions related to internet. The box 10 receives a command from the remote controller 11 via infrared ray(IR) communication. |
