ELECTROSTATIC LATENT IMAGE DEVELOPER, ITS PRODUCTION AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably impart the optimum electrostatic chargeability to a toner by forming a resin coating layer contg. fine resin particles and electrically conductive fine particles dispersed in a specified matrix resin on the surface of each core particle. SOLUTION: This electrostatic latent image developer is a two-component developer consisting of a toner and a carrier with a resin coating layer on each core particle. The coating layer contains fine resin particles and electrically conductive fine particles dispersed in a matrix resin contg. the same resin component as a component forming the bonding resin of the toner by >=10%. When the toner sticks to the surface of the carrier, it sticks to the matrix resin in the surface of the resin coating layer rather than to the fine resin particles and the electrically conductive fine particles because of greater affinity for the matrix resin.
