PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the rising of temp. caused by the generation of heat in a power source base plate, a fixing unit, etc., in an image forming device. SOLUTION: A main air path A1 is constituted on the front surfaces of the power source base plate 16 and a controller base plate 17, in an electrical equipment box 15 having a high calorific value. Since an exhaust fan 12 is placed in a position lower than that in a conventional manner, the main air path A1 is made straight and an intake side space K just before the exhaust fan is widened. Thus, the flow resistance of air is made low to increase exhaust efficiency. Further, a layout for secondarily discharging an ambient atmosphere which is retained in the upper part of a device main body and has a high temp., through a subair path is adopted, so that, for instance, the flapping of a transfer material is suppressed and hot air rising in the upper part of the device main body is reduced to suppress the rising of the temp. |
