PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical repeater by which a collision between a transmission signal and a reception signal is avoided by coupling with a LAN having a metallic line of semi-duplex composition. SOLUTION: A reception part 22 receives a signal from a metallic line, an optical transmitter 27 transmits the signal to an optical transmission line, and a transmission part 23 transmits the signal received by an optical receiver 28 through the optical transmission line to the metallic line side. A frame check part 29 detects a frame of a received signal and a non-signal and a gate control part 30 controls gates, in which the transmission part 23 enables transmission and the reception part 22 disables receiving at a time of detecting the frame and controls gates in which the transmission part 23 disables from transmitting and the reception part 22 enables to receive at the time of detecting the non- signal. |
