摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the color liquid crystal display device with small power consumption and high display quality by improving the utilization efficiency of light of a back light source. SOLUTION: On a matrix array substrate 12, signal lines, scanning lines, TFTs, pixel electrodes 11r, 11g, 11b, etc., are arranged. An opposite substrate 14 has an opposite electrode and is arranged opposite the matrix array substrate 12. A liquid crystal layer 15 is charged between both the substrates. On the matrix array substrate 12, spectral reflecting films 19r, 19g and 19b, color filters 18r, 18g and 18b, and pixel electrodes 11r, 11g and 11b are laminated in order. The spectral reflecting films 19r, 19g and 19b are of cyan, magenta, and yellow and have spectral reflection characteristics that lights in wavelength ranges transmitted through corresponding color filters 18r, 18g and 18b are transmitted.
