PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger for detecting an airtight inspection to check leakage of medium in case of mounting a cap for blocking an end opening of a header pipe at a position deviated from a normal position. SOLUTION: In the heat exchanger 1 comprising a tube 2 for heat exchanging with medium, and a distributing and concentrating header pipe 3 for the medium to be connected to the tube 2, an end opening 13 of the pipe 3 is covered with a cap 6 having a collar 6a, and a cutout 15 covered with the collar 6a is formed at an end of the pipe 3. The cutout 15 exhibits a V shape, and when the cap 6 is not brazed at a normal position, the cutout 15 is formed at a position exposed from the collar 6a of the cap 6. |
