PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently specify a character string inputted by alphanumetic shift in error and to correct the specified character string to characters to be inputted by KANA (Japanese syllabary) shift. SOLUTION: A shift miss correcting program 123 determines a shift miss correctable character range by checking the key codes of characters successively from the finally inputted character. When cursor operation for extending the shift miss correcting range is executed by a user, whether a new character corresponding to the cursor position is a previously determined control character such as line feed and a space or not is judged, and when the character is the control character, whether a character in a succeeding range is a correctable character or not is continuously checked. A character string determined as a shift miss correcting range is converted into KANA characters by the program 123. |
