<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate rewriting of the memory information stored in a ROM (read only memory) in which a display BIOS(basic input/output system) is stored while the replacement of the ROM is avoided. SOLUTION: Display data from a host computer are written in a writing register 6. When both an MSB(most significant bit) and an LSB(least significant bit) 8 are written as '1', and hence the output of an AND gate 9 iS '1', a writing instruction is given to a BIOS ROM 2 through a control signal line 10. The BIOS ROM 2 to which the writing instruction is given rewrites its memory information.</p> |
