PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To unify the vertical mode stably so as to improve rise property at the start of driving in a laser diode excitation solit-state laser with comparatively high output. SOLUTION: A solid-state laser crystal 13 is excited by a laser beam 10 emitted from a laser diode 11. In a laser diode excitation solid-state laser with a power inside resonator of 10W or higher, the temperature inside the resonator is ket at specified value by a Peltier element 22, etc., and one of a plurality of resonator modes is selected and a wavelength selection element 17 such as etalon, etc., is provided within the resonator so as to unify the oscillation wavelength. Then, as the wavelength selection element 17, one in which the temperature rise due to absorption of the laser beam is below the temperature change that the resonator mode selected by the element 17 changes, is adopted. |
