<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily couple the mutual braces and prevent the mutual coupling portion of the braces from bending, by engaging the engagement portions of a metal fitting from the outside of the brace with fastening portions provided on the outer wall of the brace, and by driving a screw in a screw hole provided in the metal fitting, and further, by so tightening the screw that its end acts as a prop on the outer wall of the brace. SOLUTION: In a coupling device, a brace 20 has a ladder configuration assembled out of a master beam 20a and a slave beam 20b, and a plurality of stages of downward opened fastening portions 21 are formed on the outside of master beam 20a in its longitudinal direction. On the other hand, in the coupling device, a metal fitting 10 has engagement portions 11 engaged with the fastening portions 21 of the brace 20 correspondingly to them, and has a screw hole 12 for accepting a screw 30 acting as a prop on the brace 20 to engage the engagement portions 11 with the fastening portions 21. Thereby, the metal fitting 10 can be attached to the brace 20 by such a simple work as to engage its engagement portions 11 from the outside of the brace 20 with the fastening portions 21 provided on the outer wall of the brace 20 to make the easy mutual coupling of the braces 20 possible. Also, the mutual coupling portion of the braces can be prevented from bending.</p> |
