摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a correct support position of a pinion gear without being influenced by an aged deterioration, etc., because of abrasion, etc., by separating to measure a work gear casing incorporating a pinion gear-supporting means from a jig pallet. SOLUTION: A small-diameter cylindrical part 1b is formed at a gear casing 1, which is located in front of an accommodation part for a differential gear mechanism 2 of a differential case 4 and extends in a longitudinal back and forth direction. A first and a second roller bearings 8, 10 are pressed into inner end parts 1a, 1b at the front and rear sides of the cylindrical part 1b. A first bevel gear 6 is inserted to the front side of the cylindrical part 1b of the casing 1 from a large-diameter opening end. Both end parts of an axial part 6b of the bevel gear 6 extending in the longitudinal back and forth direction are rotatably supported by the two bearings 8, 10. Since a measuring head is fixed and the work 1 is separated from a jig pallet accompanying aged deterioration, a correct mount distance can be always measured without influences of the aged deterioration due to abrasion or the like of the jig pallet loading the work 1.
