PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the assemble of a planetary gear device for a transfer case with a brake. SOLUTION: A two forward speed transfer assembly includes a planetary gear speed reduction device assembly 100, and a shift sleeve which selects decelerating driving through the planetary gear speed reduction device assembly, or direct connection driving inputted by a transfer case. The planet carrier 116 of the speed reduction device assembly includes a band brake disposed around the aforesaid carrier. A linear actuator controls the deceleration of the planet carrier 116 by fastening the band brake selectively while being freely adjusted, so that the speed of the planet carrier, accordingly the output of the planetary gear device, is thereby controlled. By this constitution, drug torque to be added to the input part of the transfer case by an automatic transmission, can be canceled, and relative rotation between change-over elements in the inside of the transfer case can be minimized, or excluded, so that smooth change-over can thereby be made. A planetary carrier brake also carry out a function of a parking brake. |
