PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable highly accurate measurement in a short time by incorporating an oxidation/reduction enzyme and an electronic mediator into a reaction layer formed on an electrode system or near it to accelerate the secondary reaction speed between the electronic mediator and the enzyme. SOLUTION: A silver paste is printed on a substrate 1 to form leads 2 and 3, an electroconductive carbon paste is printed to form an electrode system including a measuring electrode 4 and an counter pole 5 and an insulation paste is printed to form an insulation layer 6 separately. A hydrophilic high polymer layer 7 is formed on the electrode system while a hydrophilic high polymer layer 12 in contact with a surface on the side of a cover. A layer 8 (8a) containing enzymes is formed in contact with the hydrophilic high polymer layer 7. All the layers are covered with a layer 9 containing lipoid. A layer 10 containing an electronic mediator is formed in contact with the hydrophilic high polymer layer 12. The electronic mediator herein used is at least one selected from a group of ferrocene 6 phosphate fluoride and ferrocene 4 borate fluoride. |
