摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the flatness of an inner peripheral mirror surface by providing a recording medium with the inner peripheral mirror surface and groove surface, applying a recording material, such as dye, and forming this inner peripheral mirror surface to have the same height as the height of the bases of the grooves. SOLUTION: The entire part of the photoresist of the inner peripheral mirror surface 16 is exposed in an exposure stage, by which the photoresist of the inner peripheral mirror surface 16 and the foreign matter deposited within and on the photoresist are completely removed after development and the glass surface is exposed. This surface is reproduced to a stamper, by which the surface accuracy of the inner peripheral mirror surface 16 of the stamper is equaled to the surface accuracy of a glass plate 1. Further, since the surface is transferred as it is to a molding plate and, the surface accuracy of the inner peripheral mirror surface 16 of the molding plate of the information recording medium is made equal to the surface accuracy of the glass plate 1. About half or above of stamper defects are the defects occurring in the coating of the photoresist and, therefore, the defects are decreased to a half or below.
