A method for producing a bituminous material or modified interlinked polymer asphalt. The method includes the stages of combining by shaking selected polymers of a group consisting of styrene rubber, butadienestyrene rubber, polydiene rubber and diene polyolephine rubber; of 80 to 99% in weight of asphalt or bituminous material, with the asphalt or bituminous material to temperatures of 130 to 230 degree C to form a homogenous mixture. After this, to add to the mixture 0.05 to 2.0% in weight of asphalt of a phenol-aldehyde reactive resin. Immediately the reaction is completed by continuing the shaking of the mixture.
