PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and inexpensive terminal suitable for guiding a user to a goal. SOLUTION: A radio wave positioning section 16 acquires first positional information indicative of a current position using GPS, a section 51 sets second positional information indicative of a goal using the function of a service server through a data communication section 17, a section 52 derives a direction for guiding a goal from the first and second positional information and a section 18 detects the azimuth of an LCD 13. A section 53 determines the direction of the goal relative to the orientation of a user and notifies the direction to a user by means of an arrow mark or a voice delivered from a direction output section. Since the direction of the goal is indicated without using a large volume of map information, a navigation system can be configured using a small and inexpensive user terminal.
