The wedge has a carrier plate (6) with four openings (14-17) which are located at its centre on the corners of a square arrangement. The plate also has butts (8a-8d), on its underside in order to rest on the ski. At least one part of the butts can accommodate a screw for bonding with the ski.Each opening may be fitted with a mounting insert and the plate may be tapered from the rear towards the front
