PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a core member from being heated in an electromagnetic drive mechanism of an air pump. SOLUTION: A numeral 1 denotes an electromagnetic drive mechanism formed inside a main body case of an air pump. The mechanism 1 is composed of a core member 2 made of silicone steel plate having substantially a U-shaped section in plan view, and an electromagnetic coil 4 wound around a bobbin 3 on one side wall 2L of the core member 2. A connection piece 5 made of also silicone steel plate similarly to the core member 2 is integrated with a front side frame 3F of the bobbin 3 at its one end between the side walls 2L and 2R of the core member 2, so as to connect the ends thereof. The bobbin 3 is arranged on one of the side wall 2L of the core member 2, while the electromagnetic coil 4 is wound from the front frame 3F to the rear frame 3R. |
