PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof type flashlight with a gas discharging function to prevent the complication of manufacturing work by interposing an O-ring between a main body and a head section to seal the space airtightly, and deforming a part of the O-ring and discharging the internal gas when rising the internal pressure of the main body. SOLUTION: A pressure adjusting means 20 is provided in a fitting section between the head section 3 removably fitted to an open section of a main body 2 and the main body 2. The pressure adjusting means 20 adjusts the pressure of the main body 2 by discharging the gas inside the main body 2 to the outside with deformation of a part of an O-ring 4 interposed in the fitting section when rising the internal pressure of the main body 2. A ring-shaped groove 21 is formed in the internal circumferential face near the opening end of the head section 3 and the internal circumferential face side of the O-ring 4 is held in this groove 21 in a state that it is projected from the internal circumferential face of the head section 3 to the inside. The head section 3 and the main body 2 are threadedly engaged and the engaging section between the head section 3 and the main body 2 is airtightly blocked up by pressure-contacting the external circumferential face side of the O-ring 4 with the internal face of the ring-shaped groove 21 utilizing the elastic deformation.
