PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk cartridge capable of automatic assembling with the simple structure and also capable of preventing the erroneous insertion to a disk drive. SOLUTION: Four corner parts of a case 12 which is formed in flat rectangular state, are formed in a circular-arcuate state having the radius of about 4±0.2mm. The widths W of the circular-arcuate parts of a pair of front end cover parts 12c at the front end side of the case are formed wilder that 3.6mm. A shield plate 22a of a shutter 22 for opening/closing the window part of the case is provided with chamfers 22c for partially housing the front end corner parts at the opening position of the shutter.
